Department of Health spends €1.48m on external researchers
The highest amount the department paid out (as of October) in 2017 was for a contract awarded to the RPS Group for help in drawing up a report on the consultation process on a new National Drugs Strategy
The Department of Health spent more than €1.48 million on external consultants over the past two years.
In 2016, it spent €682,672, according to figures released under the Freedom of Information Act. During the first nine months of 2017, it spent €796,408 – an increase of €113,736 on the previous year.
