Tralee’s enterprising approach to third-level study pivotal to county
By forging links between education and local industry, the Institute of Technology in Tralee has put itself at the heart of innovation in Kerry, writes Graham Clifford
At every stage of its development over the last four decades, the Institute of Technology in Tralee (ITT) has embraced new challenges, redefined the scope of such an educational facility and played a pivotal role in the county’s economic expansion.
Around 3,500 people undertake courses at the Institute each year and one sixth of the full-time student body come from overseas. At least 70 countries have been represented over the last 40 years.
