The Pensions Authority successfully concluded four prosecution cases in 2018, writes Siobhán Maguire. The authority secured a conviction in one case which related to the deduction of pension contributions from employees’ wages and failing to remit them to the pension scheme trustees within the statutory timeframe. In the other three cases, two were struck out and one had the Probation Act applied.
