Phoenix: Professional Search Partners

Specialist search firm strengthens presence with additional senior hires

One of Ireland’s fastest growing new firms, Phoenix, has strengthened its presence by appointing an additional Managing Partner, Director and Managers.

Phoenix is a leading specialist search firm focused on the professional services sector, specialising in functional and senior level appointments in accounting, advisory and legal firms.

From operations in Dublin and Limerick, their expert consultants - many of whom are professionally qualified and have worked in global advisory firms - conduct local and international assignments.

Humanising The Industry

Prior to establishing Phoenix, Managing Partner Ed Rossiter worked for a leading global professional services firm, BDO, and one of the world’s leading recruitment multinationals. Ed specialises in mid to senior level professional service appointments.

After a decade in the industry, Ed felt there was a better way to address the weaknesses in the traditional recruitment approach. He said; "Unlike most agencies, we understand that job boards don’t hire people - people hire people. Traditional executive search and recruitment models only address the issue of identifying people. However, it doesn’t solve the bigger challenge - successfully engaging and ultimately securing the right talent to negate the cost of a bad hire, which can be significant for companies big and small."

"Our team’s twenty years of recruitment and relevant professional industry experience, coupled with our technology-driven and enhanced search capabilities, allow us to attract and retain talent in markets with labour shortages."

"In our experience, most agencies focus on one thing and one thing only - a transaction. We are on a mission to redefine what talent acquisition means to people - we are committed to humanising the process and building long-term relationships to add real value to clients and candidates alike."

Newly appointed Managing Partner Ruth Lyndon is responsible for Phoenix’s Legal and Compliance practice and specialises in senior appointments. Ruth spent nearly a decade training and practising as a funds lawyer in two of Ireland’s top corporate law firms - A&L Goodbody and Maples and Calder before making a career change into recruitment.

She said; "At Phoenix, we firmly believe that recruitment is a professional service - consultative, professional, value-add and solutions-focused. As a boutique agency, we effectively combine an expert, in-depth service with an agile, efficient response tailored to our client and candidates' individual needs. We’ve grown exponentially this year, and we look forward to further expansion both nationally and internationally next year."
