Headline deals marked stellar year

2015 was a stellar year for M&A activity in Ireland. Standout deals saw a number of Irish companies acquired by overseas buyers, and these included drug manufacturer Eirgen being bought by US drugs company Opko for $135 million, Avoca sold to Aramark for €60 million, while the takeover of Avolon by China’s Bohai Leasing was valued at €6.5 billion.
