Ireland must embrace lifelong learning in order to secure the country’s economic future in an increasingly knowledge-driven world, according to Frank Ryan, chair of the judging panel of this year’s Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards programme.

Speaking to The Sunday Business Post, Ryan said Irish businesses had the potential to take centre-stage in the global economy, if the necessary steps were taken to allow them to become “the knowledge-creators of Europe”.
