Cork’s microelectronics industry is thinking big
MCCI is an industry-led research centre hosted by Tyndall National Institute, which brings Ireland’s six universities under one umbrella to lead microelectronics circuits research
With the global semiconductor industry valued at more than $481 billion in 2018, Ireland must take the necessary measures to support and promote a strong microelectronics sector.
This is according to Donnacha O’Riordan, executive director at Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI) in Cork city.
