Cork teams at the forefront of medicines for children in Europe

The effort is part of a €140 million European network to improve health outcomes

A new network, In4Kids, has launched in Cork to facilitate the development of new drugs for children in Ireland and across Europe.

Up to now, paediatric patients generally receive smaller doses of adult medicines or a dilution of therapies, as they have not been developed for, or trialled specifically on, children.
