MSD’s decision to invest €280 million in its Cork and Carlow plants is just the latest in a line of major jobs announcements to benefit Cork, writes Graham Clifford

Another month, another major jobs announcement for Cork. As May turned into June, MSD announced it was to invest €280 million in its plants in Cork and Carlow.

It was the latest in a long and steady line of job announcements in the county – at least 210 new jobs earmarked for the pharmaceutical giant’s base in Brinny, near Bandon.
