Creating a planning vision that will stand the test of time, attracting more women into the industry, and tackling the housing crisis were the topics at hand at the Construction Industry Federation annual conference

The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) annual conference took place at Croke Park on Thursday, showcasing the aspirations of the government and potential for Ireland’s infrastructural development over the coming years. Budget 2018 demonstrated much focus on construction, particularly in the residential property sector. But it also demonstrated a new approach, a more conservative and cautious one: one that made little immediate difference to many, but could make a world of difference to others, if the aspirations and promises of Budget 2018 are met.
