Rising insurance costs are threatening the viability of Christmas experiences.

Christmas at one of the country’s most popular Santa experiences could be cancelled next year unless the soaring cost of insurance begins to fall.

The much-loved Christmas Island at Hidden Valley Holiday Park in Rathdrum, Co Wicklow has this year been forced to abandon a short boat trip for kids visiting Santa as a result of rising insurance premiums.
