Blackbee buzzes into social housing and renewables

Investment firm to put more than €100 million into social homes and about €250 million into renewable energy funds

Investment firm Blackbee is planning to launch social housing and renewable energy funds next year.

David O’Shea, Blackbee’s founder and chief executive, said the renewable energy fund will be similar to its €250 million residential care fund, which is currently raising cash from investors. In an interview with the Business Post, O’Shea said the company was looking at investments in solar power and is expected to launch next year.
