Lockdown derailed many careers, but actor and writer Clare Dunne is rising to the challenges of 2020, as seen by the warm reception given to her self-penned feature Herself

2020 was going to be Clare Dunne’s year. After laying the brickwork for years, the actor/writer’s labours were bearing fruit in spectacular fashion. Her self-penned feature, Herself, was an audience hit at the Sundance Film Festival, and closed out the Dublin International Film Festival in February. On the acting front, she was due to start filming in Ireland alongside Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Driver on the Ridley Scott movie The Last Duel.
