There are three components to US president Joe Biden’s new social democratic vision for America – a rescue plan, a jobs plan and a family plan.
The rescue plan is a $2 trillion stimulus package to promote growth in response to the Covid-19 crisis. The jobs plan is a $2.3 trillion investment to rebuild the infrastructure of America, and the family plan aims to invest $1 trillion in new public services such as childcare and healthcare.
