Greystar calls for revision of apartment bed ratios

Renter demand is for studios and one-bed units

US property giant Greystar has criticised rules that restrict the ratio of studios and one-beds in apartment blocks.

Current guidelines state that 50 per cent of units in a block can be one-bedroom or studio apartments. There is no such limit on apartments with two or more bedrooms in a complex.
