Digital nomads may be more of an Instagram fantasy than a real life phenomenon, #vanlife notwithstanding, but there is no question that the last 15 months have seen a major transformation in how many of us work.

Prior to the Covid-19 lockdowns, most remote information workers were either the corporate Eloi of high-flying executives jetting from five star to five-star or the Morlocks working as sales reps, with perhaps the occasional peripatetic freelance journalist.
