Pepco, the owner of the Dealz and Poundland retail brands, has added veteran Irish business figure Richard Burrows to its board ahead of its plans to float.

Last Wednesday, Burrows retired as chairman of British American Tobacco, one of the world’s biggest tobacco groups, a role he held from 2009. He will now chair the board at Pepco.
