Greencore, the Irish consumer foods maker, has said the majority of its staff in Britain will take weekly tests for Covid-19.

Patrick Coveney, the company’s chief executive, said last week that some 80 per cent of staff at its key food manufacturing sites would undergo weekly lateral flow tests for the virus.
