Greencore goes vegan, aims to grow salads and sushi sales

The Irish sandwich maker has pulled out of the US to concentrate on delivering a wider range of food-to-go products in Britain

Greencore is planning to boost its vegan food range and is targeting breakfast and evening meals as it looks to reduce its reliance on sandwich sales.

Over the past year, the Irish company has exited the US market after a decade-long foray that produced largely poor returns. It is now looking to expand its share of the overall convenience and food-to-go market in Britain by adding new products in a bid to grow its sales...
