Private nursing home deals expected to hit €100m in 2020

Institutional investors are attracted by predicted demographic pressure due to our ageing population

Up to €100 million-worth of private nursing homes may change hands in Ireland this year as European institutional investors are acquiring an increasing portion of those that are available.

Such investor interest will continue to include some sale-and-leaseback type transactions whereby the owners of some nursing homes may sell the properties but continue as the operators.
