Developer Paddy McKillen jr has been refused permission to add two extra floors to an eight-storey office block being constructed beside the river Liffey.

Last year, McKillen jr’s firm received permission to construct an eight-storey office on Cardiff Lane – near the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. McKillen’s site is in a Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) – an area of the city where building height limits are set by policy to allow for a fast-tracked planning...
