Potential changes in regulation have overshadowed a surge in rents at Ires Reit, the country’s largest private landlord.

The company said today that uncertainty on the future of rental policy is likely to continue for months as government formation talks continue.

“Following the recent general election in Ireland, there is increased uncertainty in relation to future government policy on housing and regulation of the private rental market, particularly in relation to rent regulation,”...
