Owner of Roscommon castle seizes back control from vulture fund, with aim to complete conversion into country-house retreat

The owner of a Roscommon castle that featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs show has snatched back control of the property from a vulture fund and secured finance to complete its conversion into a luxury country retreat.

Seaconview, a vulture fund linked to US giant Cerberus, sought to auction off the property last year, but owner Sean Simon prevailed in the end and halted the sale.
