Standing at the head of the payments pack

PayPal is the most recognised name in FinTech, having pioneered the sector, but the company isn’t content to rest on its laurels, and expects major developments in mobile commerce

PayPal, when it was founded, was seen very much as both a facilitator of e-commerce and potential challenger to the banks.

While both of these remain the case today, it is also now arguably the incumbent player in FinTech – a term whose coining the company predates.

As such, it comes as little surprise that PayPal not only continues to work on smoothing e-commerce, but is now moving into the non-virtual side of payments.
