Athlone has the potential to become a growth hub

A report detailing Athlone’s potential to become a major driver of growth across the Midlands could have major implications for the region’s development over the next 20 years. The report was submitted to the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government in March as input to the 2040 National Planning Framework (NPF), the new national spatial plan.
