Onnec Group appoints Philippe Huinck as new chief executive

The global IT infrastructure specialist has appointed Huinck, who joins from Sodexo, to replace Barry Horgan who will now take up the chairman role

Onnec Group has announced the appointment of Philippe Huinck as its new chief executive, replacing Barry Horgan, who will move to the position of chairman.

Huinck joins from Sodexo, a global leader in food services and facility management, where he was chief executive of corporate services APAC. Huinck will begin as Onnec chief executive on June 1, 2023.

An established international leader, Huinck has an exceptional track record of revenue generation and business growth in complex, international, multi-portfolio businesses. At Sodexo, a business of 54,000 employees operating in 12 territories, Huinck delivered profitable growth and significant portfolio and organisational change as part of a transformation into a more focused, growth-driven and sustainable business.

A Dutch national, Huinck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business studies from the Inholland University of Applied Sciences. He currently serves on the advisory board of World Trust, a charitable trust supporting education and medical support for underprivileged women and children in developing nations.
