Momentum continues in 2016 for WestBIC

Almost €6 million was raised in total last year for start-ups in the region, writes Ruth Wildgust

Assisting start-ups to become investor ready is one of the key supports provided by WestBIC, the EU Business and Innovation Centre for the border, west and north-west region.

“Last year saw record levels of funds raised by WestBIC client start-ups, with almost €6 million raised in total,” said WestBIC chair, Dr Chris Coughlan.

“We are already seeing similar levels of funding this year resulting in even higher quality start-ups locating in the west...
