The second annual Marine Industry Awards recognised 19 top figures in Irelands thriving maritime sector

The blue economy is thriving, and at end of June, the second Marine Industry Awards took place recognising excellence within the dynamic and ever-expanding Irish marine industry.

Just under 20,000 people are employed in the sector today and the blue economy has continued to outperform the national economy with annual growth rates of around eight per cent.
