Leinster Society joins with Jack and Jill for big Christmas lunch
The annual event will include a toy drive that Santa and his helpers will then deliver to a number of children’s charities
The biggest industry lunch of the season, the Leinster Society annual Christmas lunch, returns for another year to the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road in Dublin. The lunch takes place on Friday, December 8 from midday.
This year’s lunch is in partnership with the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. The Jack and Jill Foundation is a nationwide charity providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of six with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay.
The charity improves families’ lives by engaging with the child and family to empower them and to give them the choice to care for their child at home, often in extraordinary circumstances with extraordinary responsibilities.
All proceeds from the raffle on the day will go towards Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, and there will also be a charity toy drive. Guests are asked to bring a toy along that Santa and his helpers will collect and allocate among a number of children’s charities, including St Vincent De Paul, One Family, Carr’s Child and Family Services, with more to be confirmed. Joining the Leinster Society and Santa is a very special guest: the talented, multi-award winning satirist, mimic and comedian Mario Rosenstock.
