An acute labour shortage, coupled with high recruitment and on-boarding costs are key challenges facing the contract cleaning industry, according to Avril McCarthy, general manager, Derrycourt Cleaning Specialists.

McCarthy is a director and executive member of the Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA), the representative body for the professional commercial contract cleaning industry in Ireland.
