IICM initiative raises the bar for credit management worldwide

Europe is following the best practice set by Ireland in its bid to boost the standing of credit managers

Ireland is taking a lead role internationally to increase the professional standing of credit managers through an initiative by The Irish Institute of Credit Management (IICM).

“Since 2013, the IICM has driven an ‘internationalising the profession’ initiative,” said Frank Moroney, strategic initiatives consultant at the IICM.

“In 2015, the Federation of European Credit Management Associations (FECMA) included the project in its mission statement, bringing 16 countries in Europe on board,” he said.
