Brexit has been a disruptive force right across the board, according to Tom Thornton, Brexit spokesperson for the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA).

“Since January 1 trade with the UK has been significantly disrupted as many companies, particularly in the UK, failed to make any real preparation. This applied to large companies as well as small businesses,” said Thornton, who is also managing director of Wells Cargo, a logistics company.
