25th November, 2019

What's your name?

Marcia Bollinger

What’s your current job?

Senior Vice President, CoStar MultiFamily,

How long have you held the position?

16.5 years.

Can you describe your daily work routine?

Enhancing client relationships and customer satisfaction are on the forefront of my daily routine. I work to ensure clients are happy with the results and service they receive from across the USA. Our goal is to ensure that consumers get to when searching for their next apartment home by reaching various types of renters, giving them multiple choices of apartment homes. This includes the rental rate, amenities for the property, enhancements inside the apartment dwelling and proximity to work and play.

I travel to various build-to-rent events to keep abreast of current trends and to garner knowledge about today’s apartment renters. Networking with industry professionals keeps me informed and ready to help with a multitude of marketing initiatives. I have dedicated many years to the betterment of the apartment industry in the USA.

My passion is to make sure a leasing team gets prospects to lease their apartments so a revenue stream takes place for our entire industry of investors, financial institutions, owners, managing companies, on site teams and vendors that support apartment communities.

What is your professional background?

I have worked on apartment prospective resident lead generation platforms for 35+ years. I was on the team that developed the very first USA Internet Listing Services that gathered apartment information/content and placed it digitally on web platforms. I was on the team that published the very first apartment publications in the US in the early 90’s.

It has been a pleasure to be involved in all forms of sharing information to prospective renters about where to live – digital media, print publication, email marketing, content syndication, direct marketing and many more.

Tell me about yourself away from work?

I am an aunt to 23 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces/nephews. I spend my time with family having fun, enjoying life, experiencing events and making memories. We have a large family and spend time together at the lake, on cruises, travelling together or just staying around Oklahoma and Texas spending time together.

You are speaking at the forthcoming 2019 National Property Summit in the Aviva, Dublin. What is the focus of your talk?

How to reach a diverse group of residents that are looking for information about apartment homes. How the unit mix (e.g. number of studio’s, one beds, etc.) amenity choices communities changes over time and what are relevant and popular. New construction of apartments has been enhanced in the amenities that renters want in the USA.

What are the main benefits of the latest technologies when it comes to property management?

Ensuring that the search functionality on digital media reaches all types of renters. Also, to deliver a great search experience for prospective renters so they can garner the information they need to make a good choice on their apartment home. Then make it an easy transition for a renter to get to the properties they choose to visit and rent their apartment home.

Marcia will be speaking at the 2019 National Property Summit on December 4th in Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
