Much of the recent machinations and changes in the international tax landscape have benefited Ireland, according to Peter Vale, head of international tax at Grant Thornton in Ireland.

“The thrust of the changes in recent years has placed more emphasis on substance. You now see a much closer alignment of taxable profits and real operations,” says Vale.
