BAI increases its funding for TV programmes

The BAI awarded €4.8m in January and will award €9m more this year

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) is increasing its funding for television production this year. The BAI awarded funding of €4.8 million to 27 TV projects in January and expects to award a further €9 million over two rounds later this year.

“The overall amount awarded for television production across the year will be around €14 million, which is about €2 million more than we had previously indicated,” said Ciaran Kissane, senior manager at the BAI....
