Solas is the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland. Established in 2013, it is an agency of the Department of Education and Skills which has been tasked with building a world-class, integrated FET sector responsive to the needs of learners and the requirements of a changing economy.

Solas holds statutory responsibility for pre-2016 apprenticeships, and works with partners including the HEA, QQI and the Apprenticeship Council and consortiums on a shared governance model for post-2016...
