Environmental impact reporting by companies must be made mandatory, and a bill to that effect is in the pipeline

The Business Post has previously attempted to produce a series of articles auditing Irish resident companies based on their environmental performance. But it proved a near impossible task, as the environmental data needed to conduct the reviews simply did not exist for the vast majority of companies, at least not publicly.

Attempts to draw such information out of companies that claimed to gather it were generally met with either blank refusals, or garbled...
