When analytical chemist Gemma Robinson established the regulatory affairs consultancy Acorn Regulatory in Co Tipperary 16 years ago, the pharmaceutical industry in Europe was in a state of flux.

“We started out working mainly on site transfer activities. In 2002, that was really the landscape. Production was being moved from Ireland to Asia because of increased costs,” said Robinson.
