Irish Water has been working this week with representatives of landlords, to ensure that charges accruing on rental properties get paid.

Whoever receives the service is asked to pay the water charge. That’s straightforward enough, provided that it is the owner who is resident in the property, and drinking the water, or doing any of the other things in the property which attract a water charge.
