Volvo Ireland warns of sharp dip in new car sales for 2017

New car sales in 2017 will be down substantially on 2016, according to the Irish arm of Swedish car maker Volvo.

The company said in its most recent set of accounts that “the 2017 car market is being projected to be lower than 2016, at around 132,000 new car registrations” compared to 146,674 in 2016. The figure in 2015 was 124,945 registrations.
