Viridian reports slump in turnover

Viridian, the Northern Ireland-based energy company, recorded a slump in turnover in the run up to its sale of the investment company I Squared Capital this year.

Viridian, which operates the Huntstown power plant in Dublin and is a big player in the gas and electricity markets, booked revenue of £286 million (€340 million) in the three months to the end of June, a decrease of almost 11.5 per cent.
