Virgin Media to run personalised TV ads in bid to ‘fight back’

Virgin Media will begin to make targeted advertising available in the Irish market before the end of the year under its Adsmart partnership with Sky.

The agreement will see Adsmart, Sky’s addressable advertising platform, trialled on Virgin’s three free-to-air channels from October onwards.

Adsmart allows broadcasters to air targeted ads to individual households watching the same programme based on viewer location and demographic data.
