US hedge fund brings UDG stake to above 5 per cent

A Chicago-based hedge fund has paid £21.5 million (€24.5 million) to bring its stake in the Irish drug company UDG Healthcare above 5 per cent.

Kabouter Management, founded by Peter Zaldivar and Marcel Houtzager, now holds a stake in UDG worth more than £107.5 million (€121.5 million) at the company’s current share price of £8.66.
