The US is stepping up its efforts to convince Ireland to ban Huawei from its 5G network as EU member states prepare to submit to Brussels assessments of the threat posed by the Chinese giant.
The Trump administration has urged countries to ban Huawei from the next generation of mobile data infrastructure and warned that giving access to Chinese firms represented an “unacceptable risk”.
