UrbanVolt lands plum startup prize
Light-as-a-service business nominated for monetising energy saving for large premises
Award-winning Irish energy services company UrbanVolt has come out tops in the Irish heat of the prestigious Startup Europe Awards.
The European Commission-supported StartUp Europe Awards 2016 red-circle the leading startups transforming Europe's business landscape.
The overall winner will be announced early next year.
UrbanVolt provides “light as a service” to clients, monetising the energy savings which average 50 per cent of current energy spend.
It fits and maintains LED lighting for large commercial properties such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, car parks or large offices, and shares the money saved by the business as a result.
