It was hot this week in Washington. Not so much that you couldn’t cope, but it was the kind of heat where, if you got too hot, you mightn’t be able to cool down. I found myself in the US capital speaking to business people and government officials about investing in Ireland. And you can’t talk about investment without talking about returns, specifically after-tax returns.
