Does the state take white-collar crime or economic crime seriously? Absolutely not, according to Gerry Ryan, the civil servant who was asked by Mary Harney in 1998 to investigate tax evasion schemes.

Ryan’s six-year investigation yielded a 215-page statement and a weighty Ansbacher dossier which alleges tax evasion by a number of former senior politicians.
