Any non-monetary benefits received by bloggers is taxable income, Revenue says

Revenue are set to clamp down on bloggers and influencers

Journalists, bloggers and social influencers are liable to pay tax on all products and other non-monetary benefits they receive, according to the Revenue Commissioners.

While the specific tax treatment depends on the exact circumstances of each person or company, in general anybody declaring their own income needs to declare every benefit they receive, a Revenue spokesperson said.
