More than a dozen of the country’s biggest film, television and animation studios claimed tax breaks worth up to €5 million each last year, according to figures seen by The Sunday Business Post.

Some 16 companies were able to claim relief worth more than €500,000 to fund productions using the scheme, known as Section 481. It was used by some of the best-known companies in the country.
