Musgraves, one of Ireland’s biggest supermarket groups, has bought a company that operates six Centra shops in Wicklow and Dublin.

Musgraves is buying six companies from the Whelan Centra Group, which is owned by Dave and Karen Whelan. The company’s most recent set of accounts showed that the main company in the group had a loss of €38,422 in 2015 and debtors of €1.5 million. It owed its creditors €1.3 million.
